In a sensational BNT V8s qualifying session at Pukekohe Andre Heimgartner has taken pole in class one despite a brush with the wall
inthe dying stages of the session over the top of the hill.
Heimgartner set a 1:07.0930, a full 1.9830 seconds faster than teammate Jason Bargwanna. Nick Ross put his Nissan Altima in third.
Class two poll went to Bronson Porter with a 1:13.1410 from Alan McCarrison and Liam MacDonald.
Class three Invitational honours went to Matt Griffin, followed by Andrew Nugent and Warwick Mortimer.
Both pole position qualifying winners receiving the $ 300 Gull Pole Position award.
Race one of the weekend will take place on Saturday at 11.45am.
